First Impressions
I first spoke with these two after they had to reschedule their original plans due to Covid. They were looking for someone to capture their laid back, casual, happy wedding day.
Pre-Wedding Photos
A common misconception I have heard this year is if you have already done engagement photos, you don't need to do them with your wedding photographer. While it certainly is not needed, engagement photos serve two purposes:
1) Remember your period of time as an engaged couple
2) Have a practice run with your wedding photographer
This couple did engagement photos previously with someone who was not available on their date. Initially they didn't feel the need for engagement photos, but after some discussion, they decided to get together and do some pre-wedding photos anyway to make the day of go smoother. This means they got to know me, I got to know them, and we both got a sense for the flow day of. (Gorgeous photos a bonus!)

The Location
Once we decided to meet for photos before hand, we got to planning the location. After a lot of getting to know them, their interests, and what vibe they wanted for their photos, I sent over a list of ideal locations, with Durand Eastman being on the top of the list. The bride-to-be wanted lots of open space and greenery, and you can't help but find that at Durand. We had such a fun time getting to know each other and creating happy memories here. I can't wait to work with them on their wedding day in August.
